My dear friend Dorcas Bell crushed this whole Giddensville Church location as seen on sign to the right. She informed me that this was not the church where Henry McLamb was killed. But with this news came the name of one of Mary McLamb's grandson and his contact information. I am still overjoyed because I asked the right question of the right person who had first hand knowledge of Mary McLamb that directed me to one of her descendants. I made contact with this grandson named Roger living in Denver. He attended the 20120McLamb Family Reunion along with others descendants of Nora McLamb's daughter Mary.

It took three attempts to find Giddensville Church, I found it on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. This church was not on Giddensville Road and was tucked deep in a rural community near Goshen and Giddensville Roads.
In my search of Nora McLamb, I found her daughter Mary had a son named Henry McLamb that was killed at Giddensville Church in 1931. Reading an old newspaper story of this Henry McLamb being shot down on a Sunday afternoon worship service was disturbing.
My journey to trace his last steps began. I interviewed many elders to see if I could find anyone who may had heard the story. But what I did find was numerous stories about how bootleggers set up tents and sold liquor on church grounds and/or across the road. Some even sold food.
It took a lot work to get my dear friend to take me to Giddensville Church. Not only did she show me the actual church, she also brought along a lady whose mother was pregnant at the time with her. She stated that everyone ran down to the church to see what was happening.
